Finance is responsible for ensuring the day to day management of a hotel’s accounts but also for providing management with accurate data and reports to assist in decision making and the long term viability of a hotel. IT ensures that all systems are running as smoothly as possible, minimising lost productivity and streamlining as many procedures as possible for maximum efficiencies.
Finance personnel are often responsible for:
- Preparing financial documents and reports for management
- Forecasting
- Cash flow
- Payment of suppliers and employees
- Revenue management
IT personnel are often responsible for:
- System maintenance
- Data management and security
- Hardware management
- End-user support
